This Week’s Special Speaker –
Carrie Watkins with Meals on Wheels!

Carrie Watkins is the Director of Development for Meals on Wheels Montgomery
County, an agency that provides home-delivered meals and transportation
services for homebound seniors in our community. She is originally from St.
Joseph, Missouri, where she had her first exposure to Meals on Wheels as a little
girl riding along with her grandparents as they delivered meals.
A graduate of the University of Missouri, Carrie has had a long career in corporate
sales and now focuses her work on community relations, fundraising, and event
planning. She sat on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels for 3 years
before she was offered a job as a full-time employee and just celebrated her 5 -year
anniversary.
Other than her love for seniors, Carrie has served 12 years on the In the Pink of
Health Committee for Memorial Hermann and was part of the team to bring the
Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center to The Woodlands.
Carrie is soaking up every minute with her 17-year-old twin boys…Yes, ATM is one
of the schools they are applying to! In her “spare time” she loves reading books,
traveling and coaching people struggling with divorce.
